Poem by Mary
I used to colect shels
Now I colect frogs
I used to be in first grade
Now I'm in fith [fifth] grade
I used to like math
Now I like reading
I used to eat hamburgers
Now I eat chicken fingers
I used to like blue
Now I like yellow
I used to want to be
Now I want to be a dancer
I used to be writing
Now I am done

Poem by Julie
I used to be a file cabniet [cabinet] now I'm a desk
I used to be a desk now I'm a purse.
I used to be a purse now I'm a book
I used to be a book now I'm a bunny
I used to be a bunny now I'm a door
I used to be a door now I'm a doormat
I used to be a doormat now I'm a moose
I used to be a moose now I'm Julie Anne
"Bison"
Poem by Lynsey
He looks like black and brown
cotton balls. He has a hump on his head.
He has brown mud on his mouth. He
has a tag on his right ear. One eye
looks closed and the other is open. The
bison looks hurt. He looks mad!
He's thinking about the animal or
person who tried to hurt him and
he wants to hurt them back.
He thinks, "I love the sunrise."
"Comparisons"
Poem by Lynsey
The grass is like seaweed.
The house is like a box.
The wind is like steam.
The snow is like Icecream.
The sun is like a happy face.
The stars are like cookie cutters.
The apple is like wheels.
Poem by Henry
If I was snow
I would cover the tres [trees] so
the kids wood not have school
I would cover all the Hills
so all the kids could
sla [sleigh] ride.
Poem by Henry

Poem by Antonia
I dream I go to Disneyland.
I dream I would be famous.
I dream I could help the poor.
I dream of living in the city.
I dream of living in the country.
I dream of owning a restaurant.
Poem by Antonia
Her lipstick was as red
as a apple. She was
as pretty as a white rose. His
eyes twinkled like the stars.
Her hair was as long as a leaf. The shadow
was as dark as the night sky. The apple
was as shiny as a diamond. The
clouds are as puffy as cottonballs.
The diamond sparkled lke glitter. The paper
was as white as the
clouds. The wind was as strong as a
tree swaying.
His goldfish was as
orange as a orange.
